Session Description: The purpose of this session is to introduce the audience/world to an innovative approach to entrepreneurial education at the undergraduate level. “Real Entrepreneurship” requires two key ingredients: (1) a high-quality education and (2) access to capital. Access to capital involves creating an environment where the students have “skin in the game” as well as access to the broader investment community.
As a result, one of the principal issues with entrepreneurship today is that it has largely been reserved for students from more fortunate economic backgrounds and who can attend our more elite institutions. This session provides an alternative approach that addresses both key issues. Below is a link to a video of presentation:
About the Presenters: This concept was developed by Dr. Bryant C. Mitchell, Associate Professor Department of Business, Management and Accounting at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Maryland’s 1890 Land Grant University.
