Our mission is to assist colleges and universities, the Federal Government, and agencies of other governments and corporations in implementing programs and providing services to recruit, enhance and retain underserved and underrepresented populations. Both programs are targeted toward U.S. citizens enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions from high school to graduate school and professional academic levels. Both programs provide students with opportunities to explore Federal careers while being paid for the work performed. Internship vacancy announcements are posted on USAJobs, year-round, on an as-needed basis with positions located across the United States.

Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for conversion to a permanent job in the civil service.

These internships provide a path to careers at CISA and allow qualifying individuals the opportunity to gain meaningful training and career development experience. Once onboarded, interns work either part-time or full-time until their graduation date. Upon graduation, interns may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a permanent position.  CISA offers internships targeted towards business/mission and administrative support, cybersecurity and IT, and human resources. My sense is that Management Leadership for Tomorrow is the best of the lot because it has the graduate school component. In addition, it is critical that they “manage” their grade point average because they all you the magical 3.00 as a cut off point in assessing the worthiness or merit of each student’s application.
